Driving to the Farm
These directions are for high-clearance 4WD vehicles only. The final stretch into Reevis is a rugged forest road with creek crossings, soft sand, steep hills, and rough terrain.
From the Phoenix area, take US-60 east toward Globe.
Continue through Miami, then turn left onto AZ-188 toward Roosevelt.
Follow AZ-188 for approximately 28 miles, watching the mile markers.
After passing Milepost 235, watch for Forest Road 449 (FR 449).
Turn left (south) onto FR 449.
Follow FR 449 for approximately 2 miles, then take the left fork and follow the road downhill toward the neighboring cattle ranch.
At the ranch, go to the left around the property, passing the white Dodge van, through the cattle guard and into the river bed.
This is where you'll want to engage 4WD. The creek bed can have deep, soft sand. Continue up the valley as the road winds in and out of the creek bed.
As a general rule of thumb, look for and follow the most recent tire tracks.
After approximately 3 miles, the river bed will open wide and you will veer right. Watch carefully for the road climbing a steep hill to the left. Take that road up the hill.
From there, continue following the road for another 3 miles or so. You will pass the Campaign Creek Trail head and continue on.
Reevis Mountain School & Farm is at the end of the road. Come on in through the gate, and drive on up to the "parking lot", and come say "hi!".
