Youth Programs
We are currently working on some programs with youth groups. One is a group of home schoolers from the Phoenix area. Another is a group of students from Beaver Creek School in Rimrock, an area just southeast of Sedona, Arizona. Another project, interestingly enough, is a mixture of some young girls from each group.
One of the home-schooled students, (or 'un'schooled as she likes to call it) involved with the Roots and Shoots program, wrote a neat poem that I wanted to share with you here.
Here is some general information on the current programs we're working on.

Bella and the farm girls....
yes, Bella is in there somewhere....
School Bell,
No More!
No more school bell,
Or rushing crowds
Through the endless maze of halls.
No more grades, due dates,
Schedules or essays.
No more 'show and tell'
And definitely less stress.
Just living life the
Way I want
Even it if is in
A dress.
Walking through
A garden
One rainy afternoon.
Reading a book,
Savoring its pages,
of a land where there's
No hatred.
With no clock around
Me.
Afternoon dissolves into
Night. As endless
Opportunities that
Life gives me,
Skips those
Who
Have a school
Bell.
Who, unlike me
Aren't full of glee.
Every day.
For I am without
A school bell.
