Class and Event Calendar

Each spring and fall RMS offers a variety of classes, taught by Peter Bigfoot, on useful plants, natural healing, wilderness survival, and off-grid living skills, as well as weekend Nature Retreats and special events.

To find out dates of future classes, please check back at this page after July 1 for fall classes or January 1 for spring classes, or subscribe to our email newsletter for notices. If you are interested in a particular class that is not yet scheduled, please email Patricia to let her know your interest - this goes a long way toward our decision whether and when to hold a class.

Class/Event Info

Classes held at Reevis Mountain School include meals (arrival night meals are a potluck party—please bring a healthful, natural dish to share!), class supplies, hot showers, and campsite.

Camping is free, or stay in a yurpee ($10 per night per person), single cabin ($25 per night, sleeps 1), or double cabin ($50 per night, sleeps 1-2+) (availability permitting). Yurpees have single beds and pillows; bring your own bedding or sleeping bag. Cabins have a single, double, or queen bed, and bedding is included. Cabins and yurpees have no electricity or water. Bring an electric lantern if you would like lighting at night.

We provide complimentary shuttle service from Roosevelt, 10 miles one way—or caravan in your own 4X4. Shuttle pickup is at 4 p.m., first day of class (note exceptions in class descriptions), at M&S Marine, Hwy. 188, Roosevelt (between milepost 233 and 234). If you are driving your own vehicle in to Reevis, please meet us at the shuttle pickup so we can drive in all together.

Please remember that alcohol, smoking, illegal drugs, and pets are not allowed at Reevis.

Early Registration: 10% discount if you register with full payment 30 days prior to class date.

To Register: Three ways:

  1. Click "Register" in the purple box above to register through our website. You will be able to pay by Paypal, electronic check, paper check, or money order.
  2. Or, mail your name, phone number, postal, and email address with a 50% deposit or full payment to RMS, 7448 S. J-B Ranch Rd., Roosevelt, AZ 85545. Please make checks payable to Reevis Mountain School. Indicate whether you will need shuttle service from Roosevelt and whether you would like to stay in a yurpee or cabin instead of camping.
  3. Or, email the information listed in #2 to Patricia (patricia@reevismountain.org). She will give you instructions for payment and process your registration pending receipt of the deposit.

We require a 50% deposit to hold your spot, refundable up to 30 days prior to the event. After 30 days, the deposit is refundable only if RMS cancels or reschedules the class. Balance due prior to class.
