I use this to relieve the pain and bring about faster healing of bee, ant, wasp, and spider stings. For external use only. Herbal ingredients: Desert tobacco, western mugwort, desert plantain, eucalyptus. (1 fl. oz. or 2 fl. oz.)
I use Brown Recluse Remedy to heal most spider bites, including those of the dreaded Brown Recluse. We have many of these spiders here at Reevis Mountain School and do not fear these bites, with this remedy available. This tincture is an effective and perhaps more convenient alternative to our Spider Bite remedy. Herbal ingredients: Walnut tree bark, chaparral leaf. (2 fl. oz.)
Includes: Brown Recuse Remedy tincure (2 oz.), Spider Bite Remedy (powdered Desert Plantain, .5 oz.), dried Chaparral herb (2 oz.), dried Comfrey root (1 oz.), eyedropper, and instructions, in a convenient-to-store box.
Echinacea (Snake Bite) Tincture
Of all the natural snakebite remedies I know of, this is the most versatile, the easiest to store, carry, and use, with good, effective results. The indigenous people of Arkansas, where the plant grows wild, have handed down its use for snakebites for generations. Apply as a saturated bandage, while drinking the tincture diluted. I have very successfully treated bitten pets in this way too. Herbal ingredient: Echinacea root. (2 fl. oz.)
After 31 scorpion stings (and counting…) in various parts of my body during many years of wilderness living, I have found this remedy to most effectively reduce the pain of and speed the recovery from the sting of scorpions, including those of the deadly Centruroides sculpuratus, common in Arizona. Herbal ingredients: Western mugwort. (2 fl. oz.)
Our Spider Bite Remedy is the powdered Desert Plantain plant. We reconstitute the powder with water to the consistency of cookie dough and apply it as a poultice to soothe the pain and reduce swelling. We have found it to work well for a variety of spider bites, especially the dreaded brown recluse. Includes instructions for use. (.5 oz.)
Natural Remedies for Bites and Stings
When you receive a bite or sting in the outdoors, a doctor is probably miles away ... and most likely a simple, natural remedy is waiting at your feet.
For more than 50 years Peter Bigfoot has been gathering knowledge about natural remedies for bites and stings. This book offers Bigfoot’s lifetime of wisdom, describing simple ways you can heal yourself with natural remedies for these natural afflictions.
Bigfoot discovered and validated these remedies through firsthand experimentation. They are the remedies used regularly at Reevis Mountain School, Bigfoot's remote homestead in Arizona's Superstition Wilderness. They work as well as - often better than - expensive medical treatment. These remedies bring the power to heal back where it belongs: in your own hands.
